Photography in Paradise

peeking from behind the sensor

I haven’t had much time to be in the yard lately and everything is looking neglected. I was searching for snails to feed the box turtles and only found a few so I then decided to roam around with the 5DMK2 and the 100mm macro lens. There were spider webs everywhere but they were in hiding. Some kind of bee-wasp was following me around and buzzing in my face making it difficult to concentrate. One of the box turtles was staring me down waiting for a snail but instead I took his portrait. I found a green grasshopper like bug under the window sill near where the hibiscus were blooming. Only a few roses were blooming and there is a blossom on one of the cactus ready to bloom.

Wandering around in the yard exploring the living things that inhabit it is always full of surprises and help keep my mind at peace.
