The long awaited winter surf finally arrive with the first big storm to hit the drought ridden California shoreline. The rain took a break long enough for the sun to peak out from behind the clouds and I dashed out to la Jolla and found three surfers braving the waves and doing a splendid job getting some great rides. Getting in the water without getting drug across the reef was a problem but they waited for a lull in the action and jumped in. Of course getting out was the next problem but what the heck, surfers are not thinking ahead when the wave god is calling. I used my Canon 6D and the 400 Do lens for this action.

Enjoy the waves. Comments are welcome.
