Photography in Paradise

peeking from behind the sensor

I went to Palm Springs this weekend to photograph the wind mills and airplanes at the Air Museum. The big event at the Palm Springs Air Museum was the fly by of the Northrup B2 flying wing that was built in 1945. This is a very nice airplane museum and has many very good kiosks covering the military history of aviation.
Photographing the wind mills was an exercise in standing up against 50Mph winds and photographing the wind mills without getting blurry images. I set the ISO speed high enough to use shutter speeds of 1/2000 or higher. It was also very cold and the wind chill made it even colder. I had to park the car side ways to the wind with the driver side door down wind just so I could get out of the car. I didn’t spend very long there as I was being sand blasted.
