Got the new Nexus D600/610 underwater camera housing today to shoot for the Anthis catalog. This is a very precision manufactured camera housing cast of a special anti-corrosive aluminum material for long life in the hostile salt water environment. The housing can be easily configured to meet your needs. It has 4 optical sync ports for fiber optic strobe flash operation and also 2 Nikonos standard sync ports but can be ordered anyway you want. All controls are available with levers and button controls. Nexus is famous for its threaded ports that reduce the possibility of port flooding. It also has a multi-drive gear for zoom and focusing and is easily set up to accommodate a wide range of lenses. The handles are adjustable to custom fit your hands. It has two additional pass through ports for external electronic controls. One of the best features is the nexus housing is very light weight compared to many others. Dry weight is 5.5 lbs and with the 170mm dome port and camera and lens it is neutral buoyant in the water which helps relieve the strain on your arms and hands. The price is great. The basic housing with optical sync ports is $2895.00 and there is a multitude of optional viewing lenses. Standard is the Multi-finder but you can add speciality finders. The D600/610 comes with a tool kit and spare O-rings and lube.
