This morning was good for bird photography and waves. The waves were large but the few surfers I saw were not have much luck with their rids. A lot of wipeouts resulted in short rides. THere was a small flock of Caspian Tern (Hydroprogne caspia) sitting on the edge of the cliffs that allowed me to get close and take some nice images. The one Hudsonian Godwit got so close that he over filled the image frame. A lot of pelicans flew by riding the air currents from the waves. I saw on rock on the reef that looks like a sea lion. This was all in La Jolla but tomorrow when I have more time i will cheek out the waves and birds elsewhere.
