The large surf arrived today. It hit early in the morning. Some of the wave sets had 12 to 15 foot faces. The OB pier was a spectacular sight at high tide. I met some friends there and we watched the wave pound the pier. Then I drove with the crowds out to Sunset Cliffs to watch the waves pound the cliffs. A few brave surfer ventured out but the rides were wipe-outs. Some of the not so smart tourists stood at the deg of the cliff and were drenched by the crashing waves.
